Frequently asked questions
Questions & answers
What is the retreat?+
A setting for self-inquiry and personal growth, subject to individual medical evaluation. Experiences vary and benefits are not guaranteed. Ibogaine is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic care.
How does screening work?+
The clinical team reviews your medical history, medications and substances, and required clinician-directed testing to assess suitability. A normal EKG is not by itself a guarantee of safety. The decision to proceed is made individually, with informed consent, and you may decline.
What are the cardiac and psychological risks?+
Ibogaine carries serious medical and psychological risks, including potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disturbances. Serious adverse events and deaths have been reported. Screening and monitoring can help reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Participation requires individualized medical assessment and informed consent.
Can I stop or change my medications for the retreat?+
Do not stop, taper, or change prescribed medication based on information on this website. Discuss any proposed changes with your prescribing clinician and the screening medical team.
Who makes eligibility decisions?+
A documented suitability decision is made by the authorized clinical team — not by a website form, a call, or self-assessment.
What happens if I'm not suitable?+
If the team determines the retreat is not appropriate for you, they will let you know and, where possible, discuss referral options. Not being suitable is not a judgment — it is about safety.
What does preparation involve?+
Conversations with the team to orient you, clarify intentions, and review what to expect. Specific session counts and protocols are pending confirmation.
Can the experience be difficult?+
Yes. Experiences can be difficult and vary substantially from person to person. Preparation and integration exist in part to support this.
What is integration?+
Support to make sense of the experience and carry its reflections into daily life. Integration is an ongoing practice, not a single event.
Where is the retreat?+
In a private villa in Puerto Escondido, on the Oaxacan coast of Mexico. Current venue and accommodations are pending confirmation.
When are the next retreats?+
Contact us for upcoming retreat dates.
What does it cost, and what's included?+
Request current retreat pricing and a breakdown of what is included. Fees are charges for the documented retreat and services. The substance itself is not marketed as a purchasable item.
Is this an addiction-interruption program?+
This retreat is not an addiction-interruption program. Contact the team to discuss appropriate referral options.
Is complementary care included?+
Complementary care (Naturopathy, Applied Kinesiology, Natural Peptides) is a separate, secondary offering. Ask about current availability before booking.
Is microdosing automatically included?+
No. Any additional iboga-related preparation or continuation is considered individually and requires separate written medical authorization. It is not available through open enrollment on this website.
Is ibogaine legal?+
We do not claim ibogaine is 'fully legal,' approved, exempt, or equivalent to an ordinary herbal product. Jurisdiction-specific legal questions are held for current qualified review. Do not infer permission to carry substances across borders.
